Management Accounting as
Social and Organizational Practice
13th Workshop, 23-24 April 2020, Paris
We are pleased to announce the thirteenth Workshop on Management Accounting as Social and Organizational Practice (MASOP), to be held from April 23rd to April 24th 2020 in Paris. The aim of the workshop is to bring together scholars in the field of management accounting and control who share an interest in understanding the social and organizational antecedents and effects of management accounting practice.
As in previous years, the workshop seeks to develop participants’ research through critical discussion and to provide a forum for debate of emerging ideas and developments in practice and research. The workshop will feature 12 paper presentations (45 minutes each) and one plenary session. It is limited to 35 participants. Participants other than those presenting a paper are accepted on a first come-first served basis.
The deadline for registration is March 16th, 2020. Registrations will be made by email.
Submission:
Participants who would like to present a paper should let us know as early as possible. The deadline for submission of full papers is January 31st, 2020. Papers will be reviewed and notification of acceptance (or otherwise) will be given in February. Preference will be given to papers that relate closely to the theme of the workshop. We aim to create a balanced overall program, in terms of different theories/methodologies and a mix between emerging and more established scholars.
Practicalities:
Venue: The workshop will take place at ESCP Europe, 79 avenue de la République, 75011 Paris. It starts first thing Thursday morning and will finish at around 4pm on Friday afternoon. There are no fees.

Registration process:
To register to the conference (subject to availability) please email Marianne Strauch before 5PM GMT+1 on Monday 16th March 2020, confirming that you will be able to attend the entire event, whether or not you wish to attend the dinner on Thursday, and listing any dietary restrictions. Please also mention your affiliation as you would like it to appear on the participant list.
