Overview:

One of the fastest-growing segments of the asset management sector is the environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing segment. According to Bloomberg estimates, investments in ESG assets may reach $53 trillion by 2025 which represents a third of the global assets under management (AUM).

The forthcoming meeting's theme will focus on climate finance. Recently, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, climate risk exposure, and other related metrics on sustainability, ESG and responsible investing has gained momentum. Climate finance has attracted attention from investors, regulators, fund managers, businesses, corporations, financial services and accounting bodies. The symposium will examine a wide range of key finance, data analytics and accounting topics, ranging from sustainable investments, asset pricing, corporate finance, financial econometrics, forecasting, fund management, market sentiment, sustainable development, thematic investing, financial reporting, accounting standards, taxation to big data and data analytics. Submissions in all areas of finance, data analytics and accounting are encouraged. Submissions exploring how sustainable investments affect investors’ expectations on risk and returns and decision-making will be particularly welcome.
