About

The second Emerging Scholars in Accounting Conference will take place on October 14-15, 2019. The event will be hosted jointly by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and Goethe University of Frankfurt as members of the Collaborative Research Center TRR 266 Accounting for Transparency.
The goal of the conference is to allow selected final stage PhD candidates and recent graduates to present their work in front of a critical but supportive audience, receive helpful feedback, and interact with Frankfurt and other TRR faculty as well as external guests. Seven papers will be presented. Presentations will be for 45 minutes in a regular (interactive) workshop format after which a discussant will discuss the paper for 15 minutes. Travel cost and accommodation of accepted presenters will be covered (at reasonable levels).
The application deadline is September 1, 2019. Please submit your CV and an extended abstract (one page) or full paper of the work you intend to present to accounting_conference@fs.de. Full papers will be required two weeks before the event. We invite submissions by final stage PhD candidates and recent graduates from all areas of accounting.
In case of any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Katharina Hombach (k.hombach@fs.de), Laurence van Lent (l.vanlent@fs.de), or Anna Rohlfing-Bastian (rohlfing-bastian@econ.uni-frankfurt.de).
