In an exciting development, a purpose-built qualitative research methods colloquium is to be held in Singapore on 14 and 15 March 2019.

The 10th Asia-Australia Colloquium on Qualitative Research Methods in Business and Accounting will take the highly successful colloquium from Australia and Europe to its inaugural offering in Asia. Our aim is to promote qualitative research methods among colleagues and students and to encourage them to publish their work with rich, surprising and meaningful qualitative/ethnographic data and analyses.

The two-day colloquium consists of a series of lectures presented by leading faculty with highly prestigious qualitative research outputs. For the coverage of each lecture, the full complement of presenters will facilitate workshops where participants can bring specific issues and topics to be discussed in small groups. This approach has been shown to ‘work’ successfully in 13 colloquia previously facilitated by Distinguished Professor Lee Parker in Adelaide, Melbourne, Braga, Glasgow and Verona. The 2019 offering is an opportunity for scholars normally outside these areas – and especially those in Asia and elsewhere – to enjoy the benefits of the colloquium.

Each participant will receive a booklet of resources, lunches, morning and afternoon coffees and a colloquium dinner (Thursday 14 March). And over the colloquium’s two days, participants build a network of scholars working with qualitative methods; total participation is limited to no more than 60 participants in order that interactions between scholars can be at a highly effective level.

Early registration is best as the limited places will be filled up soon. Looking forward to seeing you in Singapore!
