I am a lecturer in Accounting at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), the External Examiner for the University of Law, and an ad hoc reviewer for International Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Performance Evaluation (IJAAPE). Before joining CCCU in May 2016, I have taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in Accounting and Finance at the University of Birmingham for a number of years (2011-2015). I obtained my First-Class Honours degree in Economics (Accounting) from Aleppo University (Syria). In addition, I hold an MSC in International Accounting and Finance from Liverpool Business School (John Moores University), and a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Birmingham Business School (University of Birmingham). Besides, I am proactive and creative researcher in accounting with particular focus on accounting diversity across countries.
